This switchgear offers intelligent control capabilities, enabling the installation of various microcomputer-based integrated relay protection devices on the relay compartment panel for smart system management. It supports remote control, remote measurement, remote signaling, and remote adjustment functions via a CAN bus with a communication interface for field network control. Its rated voltage spans from 3.6 kV, 7.2 kV, to 12 kV, with a rated frequency of 50 Hz. The rated current ranges from 630 A to 3150 A. The product demonstrates robust withstand capabilities, for instance, the 4s short-time withstand current can range from 20-50 kA, and the rated peak withstand current can reach 50-125 kA.

For enhanced safety, the KYN28A-12(GZS1) switchgear incorporates a comprehensive "five-prevention" interlocking function designed to effectively prevent operational errors. This includes preventing incorrect operation of the circuit breaker, preventing pushing or pulling the handcart under load, preventing closing the grounding switch while energized, preventing energizing the system with the grounding switch in the grounded position, and preventing accidental entry into an energized compartment. The switchgear can be equipped with VS1 (also known as ZN63), ZN12V vacuum circuit breakers, or imported VD4 vacuum circuit breakers and VC series vacuum contactors.

Structurally, the switchgear features a metal-armored design with clearly defined internal compartments, primarily consisting of the busbar room, circuit breaker trolley room, cable room, and relay instrument room. The enclosure protection level is IP4X externally, and IP2X when the circuit breaker compartment door is open or between compartments. Its compact dimensions are 2300mm in height, 1920mm in depth, and 1500mm or 1660mm in width, which contributes to the stable and reliable operation of the equipment.
